Saturday proved a new challenge for the team as the started off with a 52-13 loss to eventual tournament champion Team Elite Proteges. Ryan Kim paced MTXE with 4 points. MTXE responses well to adversity with a hard-fought 41-28 loss to Promise Elite. This was a team effort with Nathan Mancini and Max Etienne chipping in clutch 3-pointers. Michael Dee made another clutch play with an and-one layup to end the 3rd quarter. MTXE got within three points but was unable close out as Promise Elite pulled away. Over the weekend MTXE faced adversity and will be able to use this experience moving forward in the season. It is these experiences that build chemistry and allow teams to overcome adversity later in the season.
